Salesforce is implementing a crucial update to its data retention policy for Marketing Cloud Engagement. This change will significantly impact how long you can access subscriber and journey engagement data.

Key Points

  • Effective Date: January 15, 2025

What's Changing?

Starting January 15, 2025, you'll only be able to access the most recent 180 days of subscriber and journey engagement data. Any data older than 180 days will no longer be accessible through standard reports or API requests.

This change does not affect data stored in Data Extensions, which have separate retention policies set by admins.
